In a letter issued by the company, Uber explained that from the decision of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) to suspend its service, from December 31 at midnight, it will cease to function in the country.
“The company considers that the decision is arbitrary because it goes against the Colombian legal system, violating due process and constitutional rights,” says the document.
The decision would affect 2 million and 88,000 drivers registered in the application.
It is worth mentioning that Uber Eats is not affected by the decision of the SIC, therefore, users will continue to have access to that application.
