A wildfire consumed about 300 trees, Medellin Mayor Daniel Quintero said on his Twitter account.
The fire originated after five in the afternoon near race 23 and 10th Street, in the sector of El Poblado.
Quintero further noted that the fire would have been caused by a balloon and rejected this practice that causes emergencies of this kind.
